Schabarum Trail Riding in Rowland Heights, CA, August 11, 2012 Schabarum Trail:
The Schabarum Trail (Skyline Trail) can be accessed from Schabarum regional park, off Colima Road, just east of Azusa Avenue in Rowland Heights. You can park at the hospital located at the corner of Azusa Ave and Colima. You need to ride out to Azusa Ave and enter Schabarum Park. The trail is full of on-and-off short single tracks and fire-roads. You can ride all day long as long as weather is cool enough. All trails are open sunrise to sunset, except during extreme or hazardous weather conditions. All trails are closed 48 hours after the rain. Some parks take longer to dry than others; those areas may be closed for longer periods of time. All trails are closed during red flag days (extreme fire hazard days). Also, you need to be prepared to yield when facing horse riders. Horses are very sensitive of brake screeching sounds. Around this time of every year, this wilderness area becomes a pit of rattle snakes. Be aware! Today, we haven't seen any.

Keep moving!
Taking a breath in a shade and talking about 2011 Santa Cruz Blur TRC one of KRMTB members, Brother UFO, assembled recently. It is a bling-bling with XTR component kit. I testrode it. Pedaling efficiency is second to none and very light.

Coming back to where we started
That is it! Thanks to all the members riding out under scorching heat! It was Triple digit temp today.
